MoreDo you think Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple¡¯s relationship is a showmance or a romance?
While Chock Chapple and Joan Vassos' relationship has been followed for the majority of?The Golden Bachelorette?season, many are doubtful about the validity of their relationship, even after their engagement. Chock and Joan's relationship, to me, seems like a full-blown romance. Even if some think it's just a showmance, it's only a matter of time before it goes one way or the other.
How did you feel about Tracker season 2¡¯s mid-season finale?
While?Tracker?season 2 has had its ups and downs for me so far (mostly ups!), I wasn't impressed with the mid-season finale. Overall, I've been enjoying?Tracker?season 2, but I think the majority of my issues with the season have stemmed back to the overall theme of Colter's unsolved case. I don't feel connected to it, and while the rest of the episode was interesting, I didn't love how it came back around to the long-missing woman.
Do you think Bachelor Nation is being too hard on Joan Vassos & Chock Chapple?
Bachelor?Nation has been tough on Joan Vassos, as well as her final rose recipient and fianc¨¦ Chock Chapple after their engagement on?The Golden Bachelorette?season finale. While Joan and Chock are only just getting started in their relationship, things have been tough. I think?Bachelor?Nation is being a bit harsh on the pair, who are just finding their footing.
What is the best Call of Duty Zombies map of all time?
Across several Call of Duty games, there have been some great Zombies maps. I have to say that my personal favorite ¡ª the one I spent the most time playing ¡ª was Nacht der Untoten, the original COD Zombies map. However, TranZit and Mob of the Dead come right below it as my next two favorite maps. I loved doing the Easter Eggs of those two maps with friends, making for great experiences with a lot of hilarious moments, specifically on TranZit, which also featured a covert Nacht der Untoten that I loved going to.
Is Blumhouse's AfrAId worth streaming?
The John Cho-led?AfrAId?recently made its debut on Netflix, and while it may be ranking high on the streamer's charts, I can't really recommend watching the Blumhouse title. The base concept of it could've led to some interesting themes, John Cho and Katherine Waterston give great performances, and there are one or two creepy visuals, but it's not really scary, the majority of the runtime feels dedicated to setup rather than pure terror.
Is Wicked 2024's best movie so far?
2024 has seen many exciting movies in a wide variety of genres. Some of my favorites include Deadpool & Wolverine, I'm Still Here, Twisters, We Live in Time, and Dune: Part Two. While I believe the latter is still the best movie I have watched in 2024, being a visual marvel with complex characters and an intriguing story, Wicked has become a very close second. The musical excels at everything it does, with a charming cast ¡ª Ariana Grande is bound to win an Oscar ¡ª impeccable visuals, and entrancing musical numbers.
Is Kevin Costner's Hatfields & McCoys worth streaming?
Some 12 years after its premiere on the History Channel, Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton's?Hatfields & McCoys?is now streaming on Prime Video, and for those wondering if it's worth a watch, I definitely recommend it. It's certainly not a perfect show, as it is a little slow in parts, but both Costner and Paxton turn in fantastic performances, the exploration of the very real feud is quite intriguing, and when tensions explode, they do so in exciting ways.
What did you think of the first 8 minutes of Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Kraven the Hunter?
Sony has surprisingly released the first 8 minutes of Kraven the Hunter. I liked the footage. While the movie does not present anything major in the scenes that are shown, Taylor-Johnson's character is shaping up to be a cool one to follow. The R-rated action sequences are also handled well, so I'm keeping an open mind when it comes to Kraven, even if Sony's Spider-Man Universe is not among my favorite franchises.
What Christmas movie are you most excited to throw on this month?
Now that it's December, I'm excited to get into the holiday spirit with some classics. I've been saving?a rewatch of?Love Actually?for the holiday season, and? It's a Wonderful Life, neither of which I've seen in ages. I'm sure something like?Elf?will make its way into the rotation, but I rarely actively seek out the silly ones unless it's with a group!
How do you feel about the Mufasa movie making Scar the rightful heir?
The?Mufasa?movie trailers seem to point toward some type of revisionist narrative where Scar is made to be a more sympathetic villain. With?Wicked?being so successful, I wouldn't be surprised if?Mufasa?pulls off a similar dichotomy to Glinda and Elphaba with Mufasa and Scar. Overall, I think the constant need to make prequels where villains are made more complex is kind of silly in concept. It works in some cases, but I don't feel like every movie villain needs to be tragic.
What did you think of Landman episode 4?
Landman?episode 4 had some decent character moments, but overall, it feels like the weakest episode so far. That's just the byproduct of being shorter and having fewer plot-focused scenes than the previous three, as it certainly wasn't bad. I'm still waiting for Demi Moore to do something in the series, and the lack of Jon Hamm was pretty disappointing, but Billy Bob Thornton is still entertaining enough to make it worthwhile.
What did you think of Dune: Prophecy episode 3?
While I'm happy that the series is finally giving more time to Valya and Tula, episode 3 has been my least favorite so far. Without the characters from the Imperial Palace, I felt like the show suffered in its dramatic appeal. Something foundational just doesn't seem to be working with the storytelling, as it all feels very contrived and geared toward exposition; none of the characters in episode 3 felt particularly alive. I'm still hoping?Dune: Prophecy?can turn things around, but the characters are a weak point in the series so far.?
Is Paramount+'s spy drama The Agency worth watching?
Just watched the first two episodes of?The Agency and am really impressed. There's quite a few stars, some of which you¡¯ll IMDb, no doubt, but we should all know Richard Gere and Michael Fassbender. Reminds me of Berlin Station, nothing flashy, just a really good script and cast. Really looking forward to seeing how this pans out. Worth your attention if you¡¯re a TV head like me.
Who would be a good choice to play Ripley in an Alien reboot?
Though highly unlikely as the franchise continues to find new stories to tell within its universe, the endless reboots and remakes of Hollywood could one day result in a complete overhaul of the Alien?series and introduce a new star to take on Sigourney Weaver's iconic role of Ellen Ripley. For me, I would vote for Millie Bobby Brown to take the part, as I think she is the perfect young star and has the right level of strength to do so.
How do you feel about Liz's betrayal in Shrinking season 2?
Apple TV+'s Shrinking is one of the best streaming series, but recent episodes featured a betrayal by one of the characters. Liz cheated on her husband, Derek, which I did not see coming at all. While it was just a kiss, Derek has always been so nice to her, and she is often not to him, so this is just one more thing that he has had to deal with. And of course, he seems to get over it far too quickly because he is such a good guy. She has her motivations, and yes, she did reach out for help, but I am not yet ready to forgive her.
Do you think Wilson hallucinated the ending of House?
There is a popular fan theory that the ending of?House?was hallucinated by James Wilson, which is an interesting idea. While the show's creator, David Shore, has said it wasn't an idea he had in mind, this doesn't mean it's completely wrong either. Hypothetically, if?House?was ever revived, this theory could be used. Wilson was dying at the end of?House, and it wouldn't be that strange if the decline in his health manipulated his mind.
What is your favorite Wizard of Oz Easter Egg in Wicked?
I really enjoyed some of the references to?The?Wizard of Oz?in?Wicked, although some were subtler than others. Of course, it was obvious that audiences would see things like the yellow brick road and shots of Munchkinland, but I was really impressed with some of the less obvious nods to the 1939 film and the original book. For me, the use of music was my favorite. There are brief moments in which "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead" can be heard, which I really appreciated.?
Who should play Dorothy in Wicked part 2?
While there are a few who have played Dorothy Gale from? The Wizard of Oz, Judy Garland will forever be the true Dorothy. Wicked?part 2 syncs up with the events of The Wizard of Oz, and casting the correct performer to portray Dorothy could be difficult. It's important that the right person is picked, especially as the character is so iconic. At the moment,?Matilda's?Alisha Weir has been rumored to play Dorothy, although there hasn't been any confirmation yet.?
Is The Day Of The Jackal worth streaming?
Peacock's The Day of the Jackal has become quite a streaming success. Both critics and audiences praise the cast, in particular, lead Eddie Redmayne. The series is thrilling and exciting, as it follows a spy who is a master of disguise and an elite sniper. Each episode gets better and better. The more I get to know about the Jackal, the more I become captivated with him. The supporting cast is great, but Redmayne truly steals the show.?
How do you feel about the announced cast of The Trip remake?
Timothy Olyphant has joined Jason Segel, Samara Weaving, and Juliette Lewis as part of the cast of the English remake of the 2021 Norwegian horror movie, The Trip. The movie has a very unique premise. It follows a husband and wife who are eager to end their marriage by murdering each other. To do this, they head to a remote cabin, but soon, they face an even bigger threat. Just taking one look at this cast, and it is quite clear that the film is likely going to be a horror-comedy. Weaving and Segel both excel in this genre, and both Olyphant and Lewis are great in comedic and serious roles as well, so I cannot wait to see how this version of The Trip ends up.?
