What is the best Call of Duty Zombies map of all time?
Across several Call of Duty games, there have been some great Zombies maps. I have to say that my personal favorite ¡ª the one I spent the most time playing ¡ª was Nacht der Untoten, the original COD Zombies map. However, TranZit and Mob of the Dead come right below it as my next two favorite maps. I loved doing the Easter Eggs of those two maps with friends, making for great experiences with a lot of hilarious moments, specifically on TranZit, which also featured a covert Nacht der Untoten that I loved going to.
What video game are you hoping to beat by the end of the year?
The end of the year is right around the corner and many gamers like myself are looking at the various games we've started throughout the year and determining which we want to spend our time finishing before the New Year comes. Personally, I'm somewhat hoping that I can finish?Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy?after having downloaded it a couple months ago on Xbox Game Pass, as I'm most of the way through?Strikes Back, though admittedly am letting my frustration with a certain level from going back to finish it.
Will the Switch ever get a dedicated GameCube app like other Nintendo consoles did?
Though the system has brought some ported versions of the prior console's games to modern players, many iconic GameCube titles have yet to make it to the Nintendo Switch, which I feel would be best done by an all-in-one app, similar to how the Nintendo 64, SEGA Genesis and Game Boy Advance have all been given similar ones with major titles. Despite my hopes, though, I can't envision the current Switch getting that since the system's smaller storage probably can't contain the GameCube games. That said, with the Nintendo Switch 2 reportedly in the works, maybe the new system could have a larger storage to create that GameCube app.
Are you disappointed The Simpsons: Hit & Run never got a sequel?
Lead Designer?Joe McGinn recently revealed that? The Simpsons: Hit & Run?developer Radical Entertainment were offered by Fox to hold the rights to the franchise for three sequels, including the promise of having the show's voice cast return, for no money, only for Vivendi Universal to reject the deal for an unknown reason. It really is a surprise that the studio elected to do so, as it's not only one of the best Simpsons?games ever released, but also sold really well for all parties involved, making me very disappointed we never got a sequel. With Vivendi and Radical both just part of Activision at this point, it not only seems unlikely a sequel will ever emerge, but also a remaster unlikely.
What is your favorite comfort video game to play over the holidays?
One of my favorite things to do over the holiday season, when I get a break from work, is play video games. I always pick one that brings me comfort. One that I love to replay over and over. There are few games that never get old for me - Fallout (New Vegas in particular), any of the Borderlands games, and Red Dead Redemption. I love an open world game that allows me to explore at my own pace, and do as many side missions as I desire. I tend to go back to both Red Dead Redemption games more than any of the others, so I guess those are my favorites, although I love them all.?
What do you typically look to purchase on Black Fridays?
It's not only Thanksgiving once again, but Black Friday is also upon us, bringing with it a whole host of special deals on everything from physical releases of movies and TV shows to video games, technology and music. Personally, when it comes time to explore these deals, I tend to turn my focus to video games and Steelbook releases of movies, as I'm a big physical media proponent and love adding the stylish special releases of them to my shelves.
Are you excited about Godzilla coming to Fortnite?
It's recently been announced that the next season of Fortnite will feature Legendary's Godzilla in some fashion. Personally, I'm hoping it's more than just cosmetics and that a full-size Godzilla might start roaming the island. That would be similar to Call of Duty: Warzone a few years ago when?Godzilla vs. Kong was?released in 2021, and I thought that was so much fun.
What is the best way to utilize space in Stardew Valley?
I saw a Reddit post with someone explaining that you can save space on your farm in Stardew Valley by only buying one silo and putting a chest next to it for an easy refill, and I was surprised that more hadn't already thought of that. Depending on the type of save you're playing, there are loads of ways to make the most of your farm layout. I usually wait to get the greenhouse so that my fruit trees don't waste outdoor space, but also so that they don't die with the seasonal changes.
Is it worth unlocking the new parrot NPC in Stardew Valley?
I know I'm not the only person who is at odds over unlocking the NPC parrot on Ginger Island in?Stardew Valley. I've unfortunately been the victim of the final walnut glitch before, so this would be really helpful for that issue. However, the parrot costs an astonishing?720,000g. Although at this point in the game, players typically can afford large purchases, it's still enough that it could set them back from buying something like the?Return Scepter.?
What is your favorite new recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley's Storybook Vale?
There are an incredible 96 new recipes in?Disney Dreamlight Valley?thanks to the new?Storybook Vale?expansion. I haven't had the chance to make them all yet, but there are a few that immediately stood out to me. I really like the Garlic Steamed Mussells because of how easy it is to make, and it has a decent sale and stamina value for a meal with ingredients that aren't difficult to access. I'm also a fan of the?Cape Gooseberry Sour Fondue because the goosberries and sour berries respawn so quickly.
What is your favorite Pok¨¦mon TCG Pocket deck?
Pok¨¦mon TCG Pocket has been taking up most of my free time since it was released. I have had a lot of luck with my Wonder Picks, and as a free-to-play user, it has allowed me to get some of the game's best decks set up relatively quickly. I have to say that I am a big fan of the Pikachu Ex deck, which has contributed to most of my wins in the event. Other than that, the Moltres Ex/Charizard Ex and the Articuno Ex decks are also among my favorites.
What theories do you have about the Zelda games?
What do you want to happen in the Zelda movie? Would you prefer it Live Action, or animated? Is there a specific game you want it to adapt? If so which game/games do you want it to adapt? Do you want it to be a standalone movie, or the first in a series? What do you want the next game to be about? What do you want the next main villain to be? A repeat of an older villain, or a brand new one?
What do you think is the 2024 Game of the Year?
As the year nears its end, The Game Awards have revealed their nominations for 2024's Game of the Year to be?Astro Bot,?Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth?and?Metaphor: ReFantazio. It's clearly going to be a heated race, and while I think, for the most part, it could be anyone's victory to claim, Astro Bot?will likely be the one to bring the trophy home, as I think its mix of nostalgia and innovative platforming will push it to success. That said, I could also see?Final Fantasy VII Rebirth?winning after it somehow proved to be even better than the already excellent?Remake.
Will a new Splinter Cell game will ever get made?
With the recent confirmation that the Tom Hardy-led movie adaptation is officially dead in the water, the Splinter Cell?franchise's future really is in the most uncertain state possible. A remake has been in an uncertain point of development for years, with a recent report indicating it is still happening and aiming for a 2026 release date, but nothing official has been announced by Ubisoft. Considering the last game was considered an underperformer for Ubisoft and?Star Wars Outlaws?has also been performing poorly for the studio, I could see the remake update being true, but unless the remake does well, I can't imagine a new?Splinter Cell?game will ever get made.
How do you feel about Star Wars Outlaws removing forced stealth?
After considerable pushback from reviewers and fans alike, Ubisoft has announced that they are updating?Star Wars Outlaws?to remove the forced stealth sections from "almost all" quest missions, giving players the option to shoot their way out if caught while still having the ability to be stealthy. I'm quite thrilled by this update, as forced stealth sections are often so frustrating in pushing players back to the checkpoint, and therefore having the option to essentially reset the area by successfully killing a few guards and hiding could really go a long way to making many of the quest missions fun again.
Is it worth going the Joja route in Stardew Valley to get the auto-petter?
It's bonkers that the auto-petter in Stardew Valley only has a 3.6% drop rate. I've played over 3000 hours across multiple platforms, and I've only naturally come across it in the Skull Cavern once. I'm always tempted to take the Joja Mart route so that I can buy it instead, but I don't find it anywhere near as satisfying as completing the Community Center. However, I'm considering trying it out so I can have a save file that focuses just on animals rather than crops.
What is the best way to keep up with watering crops in Stardew Valley?
I was really happy to learn that moving while watering was added in the?Stardew Vallew 1.6?update, but it made me wonder how everyone else keeps up with it, especially early on in a save file, while you still have a standard watering can. I rely on stamina boosters until I get to foraging level 9 and unlock the rain totems, but I don't always have all the resources I need to make them. I will also start working toward sprinklers as soon as possible, but I'm interested to hear if anyone else has a better method.
Are you excited for Marvel Rivals? Which characters look the best?
Marvel Rivals is almost here, a new team-based third-person hero shooter releasing on December 6th. Reportedly set to have 33 playable heroes and villains at launch, there are so many different characters to choose from based on preference and a variety of play styles. Having played the beta, I'm very excited to play Star-Lord and Scarlet Witch again, though I'm also excited about the newly announced Winter Soldier and Moon Knight characters as well.
What's your favorite deluxe edition of a video game you've ever bought?
Even as a shift to digital releases has largely seen deluxe editions of video games become cosmetic and microtransaction-adjacent collections, there are still the occasional physical deluxe editions that prove to be well worth the purchase. For me, and I know it's a bit of a cheat, but it's something of a three-way tie between the Limited Run Games' releases of?Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which netted me an incredibly high-quality version of Cal Kestis' lightsaber, the?Dead Space?remake, which got me an incredible and wearable recreation of Isaac's helmet with LED lights built in, and 1997's Blade Runner, which came with a replication of Ray McCoy's blaster, also used by Rick Deckard, in a case with LED lights built in.
What's the best Call of Duty Warzone map?
I know many people will be partial to Caldera, but I've been playing some Warzone recently and really missing Al Mazrah. I feel like it had the best balance of aesthetics, and I enjoyed the PvE opportunities on the map as additional variables. I don't mind Urzikstan as a replacement, though visually, it's just a bit too dry.?
