  • I thought it wasn't that bad. I do think at parts it was slow and wished I could know more about Eric. I love the fact that it was brutal and wished the flashback scenes was more (more emotion). Oh and wish the crow was more in it, teaching him and guiding him. Ending was good which does set it up to continue and wish they would but with the amount they made I doubt it.

Don't get me wrong I love the original and glad they went a different way so they didn't tarnish Brandon Lee's version. I know a lot hate the fact they made the crow and felt it was wrong but this isn't the same and there was different crow movies and a show that came out before this so not sure why all the hate.

I enjoyed it and yes I absolutely love Skarsgard and might help me like this movie more than perhaps if it was someone else. Plus he showed quite a bit of skin so that was awesome and I love bloody and brutal action scenes so seeing a hot guy killing and getting blood all over him is an extra bonus. I liked this movie and hoping would be able to watch it again to see if i see anything different then the first time around.

Just give it a try and keep an open mind. It's definitely not that bad, even if Skarsgard wasn't in it I seen worse movies like a few marvel movies. Don't listen to critics cause what they think is good, sucks in my mind. Example Civil War and Oppenheimer. Just watch it and make up your own mind what you thought. Just keep an open mind cause it's totally different than Brandon Lee's version.

  • Great movie, definitely different from the original but in a good way. I definitely think this deserves a sequel

  • While it has poor pacing and is nowhere near a perfect reboot to the 1994 cult classic, The Crow is still a great violent action film thanks to Skarsg?rd's exemplary performance.

  • 2024's The Crow was always going to have a difficult time living up to the 1994 movie. Bill Skarsg?rd proves to be a suitable new version of Eric Draven, and he especially nails many of the action sequences. Unfortunately, that's about where the highlights of the film stop. The attempt to flesh out Eric and Shelly's relationship was noble, but it still felt lacking and meant much less time with a fully realized version of The Crow than expected. If the newly created villain had some substance and the mythology of this world was better established, there could've been more here to enjoy. I guess maybe that's what I should've expected for a movie that took so many years and different turns to get made.

  • Went and saw the newest Crow film on Aug 30. After the first 30 minutes I proclaimed out loud I was bored with the movie to the whole theater gaining some laughter. The Eric character was very 2 dimensional he either believed in their love or didn't. Most of the Eric/Shelley scene would have served better as memory flashbacks. And was it just me or did they try and use stuff from the first 4 Crow films to create this one?

Let's do a little break down of this movie. Rehab scene reminded me of the Crow: Salvation prison scene just before he was executed for the murder of his girlfriend. The SUV fight scene was nearly a straight copy of the SUV fight scene from Deadpool, with the little laughable fact that he came through the windshield for it to only reappear a few moments later complete intact. The main villain trying to steal the power of the Crow is from Crow: City of Angels. All the villains head people were copies of the villains from Crow: Wicked Prayer. The opera fight scene with sword is the same fight scene from the original Crow movie in the night club.

The only original scenes in this movie were the train station scenes, or the rail yard as the waiting place for soul to either move on or down. The scene of the main villain being pulled down is either the scene from the Mummy Returns or the Frighteners. Either one fit the details being shown.

There's enough material from all the different comics and novels of The Crow that writing a script that has elements from past movies cheapened this film. No actor no matter how well they can play a character can fix a bad script to begin with.

Should they move ahead with another Crow movie they need to go read some of the comics and move forward with one of them. I'd suggestion The Crow: Flesh and Blood so there's a female Crow movie. Beyond that wait for this to come to a stream platform so you don't waste money on a ticket and theater food only to feel like you wasted your night.

The Crow (2024) is a dark and gritty reimagining of the original graphic novel. It follows Eric, who is resurrected from the dead to avenge his and his soulmate’s brutal murders. Armed with supernatural abilities, Eric seeks justice against the killers responsible, navigating through a corrupt city that is as much a character as he is. This adaptation introduces new elements to captivate the modern audience!
